Every subsystem in my chat service reports errors into one component, and under load it silently discards them. That is deliberate, and the fix is to alert on the drop counter.
Flood a service whose job is catching every error. And watch it start dropping them. Every session breaks something on purpose. A build that only ever works is a demo, and a demo is the one thing this is not.
