What you may do with the code and writing on this site, and what needs a conversation first.
This wording is pending legal review. The licences it names are the real, published texts linked below, and those texts govern. This page is a plain summary of them.
Code samples on blog posts, including what runs in the live viewer, are licensed under the PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 license.
Free for personal and non-commercial use. Commercial use requires a license.
When you copy a sample, the copied text starts with a one-line header naming the copyright holder, the licence and the post it came from. Keep that line with the code.
The text of posts, their cover images and the short videos made from them are licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
Share with credit, no commercial use, no derivatives. You may share a post as it is, with credit to J. Michael Duhart and a link back. You may not sell it, and you may not publish an edited or translated version of it.
Kits and anything else bought from the store are not covered by either licence above. They come with their own paid commercial terms, which are part of the purchase.

If what you want to do is commercial, get in touch. Say which sample or post, and what you want to use it for. Most requests are simple and get a quick answer.
A notice states terms; it cannot stop a browser from copying text it can read. Enforcement is a DMCA takedown, backed by dated history.
Every post here is kept in version control and every code sample records when it was published, which is what makes that history. The notices are there so nobody can say they did not know.
